After 10 years at the William Morris Agency and five years as a founding partner of the law firm Xylas and Naso, Michael Naso returned to the Talent Agency business for newscasters.
The Naso Group (TNG) was started in 1997.
It is Michael Naso's firm belief that representation of news talent requires a strong knowledge of the business and the proper relationships so that the representative voice, the client, can be fully heard. Just as importantly, The Naso Group mandate is to be as close to the client as possible. When a job opportunity is procured for a client, to help fulfill the promise of a client's career, the entire life of that person is at stake. In addition to procuring job opportunities, advice and counseling of a client are equally important. Being an attorney, Michael Naso, is experienced and equipped to deliver and disseminate information to the client, albeit some things a client may not be ready to hear, or want to hear. An example is a message coming from an employer, from a news director, whose job is to increase ratings and criticize the talent.
Michael and The Naso Group are on the client's team. That team is a close relationship between agent and client - a relationship of trust and access.
This quality-of-relationship cannot possibly exist when an agency has too large a roster of clients. The Naso Group represents a distinguished 30 to 45 clients at a given time. We are always available to our clients and fully involved with all small markets, large markets and networks.
